August 27-28, 2024, students and faculty from the GW occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech-language pathology programs volunteered with at the inaugural Paralympics and Disability Pride Open House at The White House.

In attendance were former Paralympians, adaptive sports teams, educators, students with disabilities, advocates, and families.

Students and faculty from the GW occupational therapy, physician assistant, physical therapy, and public health programs partnered with the Department of Aging and Community Living to bring Falls Prevention Awareness Day to GW.
Second-year students in the doctor of occupational therapy program completed the Systems and Advocacy summer course in preparation for the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) Hill Day on Friday, September 19, 2025.
Marina Bien, OTD' 25, OTR/L, has been selected to participate in the American Occupational Therapy Association's Neurology Fellowship Program at Inova Mount Vernon Hospital in Alexandria, Virginia.
